Working at We Care Behavioral Health has allowed me to follow a passion that has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I watched my mom dedicate her life to working with disabled adults, showing me firsthand the importance of compassion, patience, and meeting people where they are in life. Seeing the impact she made on individuals and families inspired me to pursue a path where I could also make a difference, offer support during difficult times, and help others feel valued, understood, and cared for.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Management, which has strengthened my leadership, communication, and organizational skills and helped shape the way I approach both my professional and personal life. I believe in creating positive relationships built on trust, empathy, and understanding, and I strive to bring those values into every interaction. Helping others navigate challenges and celebrating their progress is one of the most rewarding parts of the work I do.
Outside of work, I’m a proud parent in a busy family of five who love spending time outdoors and making memories together. Whether we’re exploring the mountains, enjoying nature, or caring for our many animals, including dogs, lizards, a hedgehog, chickens, and turkeys, our home is always full of energy and love. Family, compassion, and connection are the center of everything I do, and I carry those same values into my work every day.
My name is Vanita, and I live in Great Falls. I was born in Helena, but I was raised in Great Falls, which I proudly call home. I am the proud mother of six children and grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren.
I have dedicated my career to helping others. I began working in the medical field at the age of 18 and later transitioned into the behavioral health field. Caring for and supporting people has always been an important part of my life, both personally and professionally.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and caring for my goats. Family, compassion, and helping others are the values that have shaped my life.
I was raised in Madison Maryland, a small town of 200 people
on the Chesapeake bay. I have lived in four states across several time zones in the USA. I moved to Montana several years ago to be closer to my family in Hamilton.
In my years living throughout the United States, I survived
poverty and homelessness while navigating single motherhood. Through learning to help myself, I experienced the importance of a supportive social eco system and finding people who genuinely care for one another. My career in helping others began nearly a decade ago when I started my nursing degree while working
fulltime as a certified nurse assistant in various in-patient psychiatric, rehabilitative, and long-term care facilities.
Raising my child alone through years of poverty taught me
deep resilience and resourcefulness. Those life experiences, and my professional development in the nursing field, have carried me into a meaningful career where I can now show up for others in the ways I once needed a community to show up for me.
It is a blessing to serve my community to connect individuals at risk with the resources that they need to succeed in their
goals. I look forward to advancing my education and my career with We Care to continue serving my community to the best of my abilities.
